About the roles:

The role offers flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients when needed in Ealing.

This role is based at Whitecross Studios (Islington); however, we offer hybrid working. There will be occasional working from Perceval House (Ealing) approximately once a month and/or when meeting with clients.

As an ASB Caseworker you will provide high quality, holistic support to clients affected by Anti-Social Behaviour in the London Borough of Ealing. You will be required to attend the monthly Ealing Community ASB MARAC, held once a month.

You will act as the single point of contact for your clients offering face to face support and ensuring they receive their rights & support from external agencies. You will need experience of working in a similar setting with the ability to undertake needs and risks assessments, create appropriate support plans, and monitor the support is helping clients to cope and recover.

You will need to be able to manage a demanding workload, scheduling client appointments (may include travel) and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and to communicate effectively with a range of people both within Victim Support and with external organisations.

About the role:

This role is based at our Gloucester office and will require regular travel within the Gloucestershire area. Hence, holding a driving licence is essential.

As a caseworker, you will:

• Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions
• Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.
• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice this could include criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to service users.

You will need:

• Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for a therapist with experience of working therapeutically with acute high risk presentations to join our Children and Young People’s Counselling Service as a Well-being and Safeguarding Counsellor. Responsible to Director of Services (subject to review) 

Purpose of Post To support users of services through an education, training, and employability programme integrated with SCT’s wider services and enterprise offer, as well as partner opportunities in the wider community. SCT Progressions Programme 

1. Identifying SCT residents and students ready to pursue ETE opportunities: 

• Collaborate with SCT tutors and managers, particularly the Therapeutic Programme Manager and Supported Housing Manager, to identify those who may benefit from the support on offer. 

• Cultivate strong relationships with SCT’s social enterprises and shops to establish clear pathways for volunteering and trainee opportunities for those who access our services. 

• Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualised Progression Plans, and evaluate progress according to each person’s needs, strengths and aspirations, involving key internal and external partners as appropriate. 

1. Providing information, advice, and guidance regarding ETE opportunities:

Our Peer Support service will offer both intensive and low key peer support services. You will support people who are going through a difficult time, by sharing your experiences, helping them discover the strengths and developing skills that will lead to wellness. But it's only possible with the help of people like you. 

Day-to-day, you’ll work with the support staff, mental health nurses and the people who use our services to develop an inclusive and effective peer support service, offering individual and group support. You will help to contribute to the development of organisational policies, procedures, protocols, systems and guidance to underpin the provision of peer support across the service. This is an exciting new role to develop a peer support group for people recently diagnosed with dementia and their family carers and to co produce a programme of activities so that they can continue to engage in stimulating activities in the community.

Windsor Road is a registered CQC residential care home which offers 11 beds to people experiencing mental ill health. We offer individual one-to-one interventions and sessions such as social anxiety, anxiety, finance and budgeting, positive self-image, building self-esteem, support with diet and nutrition, healthy eating, sleep hygiene, DBT skills, building resilience, life skills, solution-based therapy, stress management etc. We offer a range of activities in our service planner including a daily coffee morning, a ‘here and now’ group, community gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, social inclusion and family and friends’ days.  We support our residents with daily living skills where this is needed, such as support with shopping and cleaning tasks, this could include prompting or supporting alongside them. We also work closely with other agencies and our residents wider care teams, so good communication skills are required. And of course, all of this is recorded on our information management systems, so good record keeping and documentation is also essential. Our service consists of 8 24/7 Recovery Workers, a Service Manager and Registered Manager.
 
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. 

Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to achieve independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a person-centred support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations, as part of your key worker role. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work or volunteering or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.
 
Care home, mental health support or social care experience is preferred and you will be required to administer medication and complete a medication qualification and the care certificate. Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties as well as completing sleep in shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Support the start-up of new VCS organisations, including advice on appropriate structures and any appropriate registrations.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses in management/governance in VCS groups and provide advice to address, in particular trustee roles and responsibilities, business/strategic planning, project planning, evidencing impact, evaluation and monitoring, safeguarding.
• Advise, and support organisations on different sources of funding and which are relevant to their needs including grants, trading, contracts, donors, etc.
• To enable organisations to develop appropriate documentation. To produce model documents in plain language, in particular health and safety, data protection and environmental policies
• To provide organisation specific advice and information by telephone, email and one to one advice sessions (inn person and virtual)
• To design, organise and, if appropriate, deliver training events, webinars, lunch time seminars, meetings, events, and conferences for VCS organisations as required.
• Contribute to the development of tools and resources for defining and supporting the organisational development needs of small and medium sized VCS groups
• To ensure the provision of advice and information through the website, on demand webinars, newsletters, special briefing supplements, etc.

The service aims to help parents and carers feel more supported, less excluded and more empowered to support the mental wellbeing of their child achieved through learning new coping strategies, which can help families have fewer crises, and be able to access other services when needed.

Engagement of parents and caregivers will be a key part of this role, linked to developing relationships with key local agencies that support parents, children and young people to identify who may benefit from the project.

Travel within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan will be expected but some home-based working is possible.  The hours can be flexibly worked across the week.
