Could you be our new Regional Service Manager (South)?
Who we’re looking for:
Are you a terrific multi-tasker, with a passion for supporting staff and volunteers to be the best they can be? Can you also bring a strategic eye to the development of our services and improvements to operational delivery?
Support Through Court depends on our two Regional Service Managers (South and North) to keep the Leadership Team up to date on what's happening across our network of court-based services, where staff and volunteers help litigants in person navigate the civil and family court system. As line manager for 6 to 8 Service Managers, you'll set standards and objectives according to our organisational aims, and will enthuse and support Service Managers to achieve them. While you'll be home-based, your team will work in court buildings from Birmingham to Bristol and Cardiff to Chelmsford, and you'll be expected to travel as necessary to visit them, as well as keeping in touch between visits.
You'll work closely with the RSM (North) and other colleagues and will report to the Head of Service, who will depend on you for informed opinions on managing and improving our services. You will take responsibility for a variety of Service-focused projects and will relish delivering positive outcomes through collaborative working. This will include building your own networks of contacts to help promote Support Through Court, encourage supporters and funders to donate to us, and improve the court experience for litigants in person.
About Support Through Court
Support Through Court is an independent charity providing practical and emotional support to people facing the court process without the benefit of legal representation. Most people are unfamiliar with - and may be frightened of - the courts, and may be facing serious issues that could affect their children and relationships, finances, or the security of their homes. Our staff and volunteers empower people facing court alone, helping them to go through the court process with dignity and confidence. Together, we can ensure that no one faces court alone.
What we can offer you
This role offers an opportunity to combine staff management and operational delivery with influencing at national level, as well as contributing to the direction of the charity, as we work through an ambitious 5-year strategic plan. We’re a highly regarded, energetic and friendly charity, offering our staff a range of benefits, including a generous leave allowance (28 days + bank holidays, increasing over time); up to 6% pension contribution (with optional salary sacrifice), season ticket loan and/or cycle to work scheme.
