Our ISVA Team work hard to provide the best support specifically to male victims/survivors of sexual violence across Greater Manchester, building a support plan that focuses on the individual, meeting his variying needs at different points of the criminal justice system.
In this role, you will be part of our our amazing ISVA team, delivering our quality assured ISVA services which are in line with the Home Office guidance detailed in ‘The Role of the Independent Sexual Violence Adviser: Essential Elements’; accurately recording the interventions you undertake as an ISVA; and work with both your Survivors Manchester colleagues and Greater Manchester Police / Crown Prosecution Service (and others) to create a package of support to identifying male, trans and non-binary victims and survivors sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation.
You will understand issues relating to sexual violence, particularly as experienced by males; have experience of working in a highly confidential setting and of managing workforce teams; and have experince within a helping profession (Counselling, Social Work, Support Work, Advocacy).
We will provide full Accredited ISVA training with Lime Culture commencing in January 2021.
In return for your time, experience and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £25,000 – £28,000; 22 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 28 days) plus bank holidays; company sick pay; Birthday annual leave, monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; and a range of training opportunities; and get to work with some of the most amazing and inpsirational individuals who have broken their silence in order to take back control of their lives and be more free of the past trauma.
