Behaviour Change Officer, Places for Everyone, Scotland
£24,446 per annum
37.5 hours per week (part time applications will be considered) – based in Edinburgh
The exciting responsibilities of this role will include working closely with community groups/organisations, local communities, local authorities, businesses and other interested parties to co-ordinate the development and delivery of community led strategies that promote walking, cycling and sustainable travel modes in the community where there are new infrastructure projects being planned, supporting Sustrans behaviour change and ‘Places for Everyone’ programmes.
With a good standard of education and experience of delivering practical projects which lead to behaviour change in a community setting and experience of partnership working with local communities, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation and organisational skills and the ability to motivate and enthuse others. The ability to develop productiveworking relationships and experience of leading group workshops is also required as is IT literacy and an understanding of issues facing communities thatexperience inequalities. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
