37.5 hours per week – 12 month contract - based in Bristol


This exciting new role will design and deliver outstanding cycle and walking infrastructure as part of Sustrans Design and Engineering programme in the South of England and will involve rural and urban cycling and walking infrastructure and street design schemes from conception to delivery, to create safer and more attractive conditions for active travel.


Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant qualification in either highway engineering, civil engineering or architecture, you will have cycling and walking facility and highway engineering design experience, experience of the production of technical drawings and specifications and the development of infrastructure projects. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships and have knowledge of cycling and walking infrastructure design guidance. You will be IT literate with experience of AutoCAD and other computer aided design software and committed to the promotion of sustainable transport. 


Sustrans supports professional development towards incorporated or chartered status through a scheme approved by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
