Job description

     Project Officer, I Bike Volunteers

£24,446 pro rata per annum

27.5 hours per week – contract to 30 June 2020 - based in Edinburgh

The exciting responsibilities of this role will be to increase capacity and legacy of the I Bike project, which aims to increase the number of young people travelling actively to school. It is important that our volunteers have a positive experience and are continually encouraged to improve the programme.

 

With a good standard of education, you will have experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers, experience of delivering behaviour change projects in an education/ community setting and of partnership working with local authorities, NGO’s and/or charities.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, be IT literate, able to plan and priorities workload and have the ability to enthuse and motivate others.  Knowledge of effective behaviour change activities and initiatives is essential as is a commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport. 

 

Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Tuesday 1 October 2019. Interviews will take place in Edinburgh on Friday 25 October 2019.
