About the role

As the Project Support Officer, you will report to the Head of Behaviour Change and Engagement. Working as part of a small team, you will support the delivery of Sustrans’ active travel behaviour change engagement programmes.

In this varied role, you will provide project support for the delivery of our regional and national behaviour change programmes, supporting project officers across the organisation. You will also work directly with the Executive Director – Impact, and with the Director of Urbanism, providing them with administrative support.

You will be working with colleagues across the organisation to deliver impactful behaviour change and urbanism projects, such as the Big Walk and Wheel, the UK’s largest inter school active travel challenge.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

We offer true hybrid working, a mix of home working and time within our new Hubs across the UK with flexible working patterns to suit individual circumstances. This will include occasional travel, including possible overnight stays.


About you 

You will be someone with a pro-active approach to work, with experience in office administration and supporting project and programme delivery.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce content for varied audiences to suit different purposes.

With the ability to build relationships with ease across the charity, you will also be comfortable working with and communicating with senior members of the team.

You will have experience managing a busy and diverse workload, successfully working in a professional manner to meet deadlines.
