Senior Engineer, North

£31,058 per annum

2 vacancies - up to 37.5 hours per week – Permanent contracts

One post based in Manchester and one in Leeds

We are looking for two individuals to take up leadership roles. One on our Paths for Everyone (National Cycle Network) projects and one on our Liveable Towns and Cities projects.

This is a unique and very exciting opportunity to join the team which is providing direction, professional leadership and delivery of all aspects of Sustrans design work.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant qualification in civil engineering and/or urban design or related field, you will have experience in project management of infrastructure projects, of line management, health & safety management and feasibility studies. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships and an understanding of urban design principles and a holistic approach to highway design.  You will be IT literate with experience of AutoCAD and other computer aided design software and committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.

Sustrans supports professional development towards incorporated or chartered status through a scheme approved by the Institution of Civil Engineers.
