Sustrans, the charity that's making it easier for people to walk and cycle, is seeking to fill the following key vacancy within our Research & Monitoring unit:

Senior Evaluation Officer, Research & Monitoring Unit

(SUS2691)

£27,255 per annum

37.5 hours per week – based in Belfast

 

Sustrans Research & Monitoring Unit provides evidence on sustainable and active travel that is transparent and authoritative and which influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK.  These roles will play an important part in developing our understanding of active travel in Belfast with responsibilities for evaluating major infrastructure programmes and leading aspects of our work focused on school travel and will include developing and managing a small team as well as overseeing aspects of our wider programme of monitoring, evaluation and appraisal work.

 

We are seeking a creative, passionate and experienced individual to join our team.  If you have a good understanding of best practice in monitoring and evaluation techniques, have demonstrable project management skills and are a great communicator with the ability to present technical information in a clear way this could be the opportunity for you.  You will be able to draw on a wide range of research methods and apply them to real world projects, have strong analytical skills, experience of working with partners and clients and know how to get the best out of others both through line management and task supervision.  You will also be committed to the promotion of active and sustainable travel.
