Job description

Trust Fundraising Manager

£31,058 per annum (Ref:  SUS2819)

37.5 hours per week – based in Bristol / negotiable home working


Sustrans has a bold ambition for the future through our National Cycle Network and Liveable Cities and Towns projects and Trust and Foundation income will be a vital revenue stream in realising our vision.  This role requires a dynamic individual who has the experience to build upon our established Trust and Foundation programme in line with our strategic priorities, writing compelling proposals / applications and securing significant income maximising immediate and long term income opportunities.


Working UK-wide you will plan, develop, support and where appropriate lead the building of high-level strategic relationships with major Trusts and Foundations. Additionally you will work with colleagues across our regional offices, supporting and co-ordinating engagement with local Trusts and Foundations. You will have experience of identifying and researching Trust funding opportunities and a proven track record of writing compelling proposals and applications to secure 5 - 7 figure sum grants from Trusts, Foundations and other funders, co-ordinating input from colleagues across Sustrans teams. Your knowledge of Trust and Foundation funding trends and of sources of Trust giving data and intelligence will be complemented by your excellent written and verbal communications skills and your ability to manage successful strong strategic relationships.  You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport and active travel.
