Job Description

Workplace Personalised Travel Planning Officer

£24,446 per annum (Ref:  SUS2726)

37.5 hours per week

contract to 31 March 2020 - based in Nottingham / Derby

This new and exciting role will promote sustainable and active travel initiatives and information in workplaces to enable an increase in sustainable and active travel within the aims of this Personalised Travel Planning (PTP) project.  Workplaces and their employees will be initially engaged through a wide range of techniques, activities and events which will encourage desirable travel behaviour with an emphasis on cycling but will also include walking and using public transport and will include major employers within key business parks, as well as small and medium enterprises.

With a good standard of education, you will have experience of working in a behaviour change or employee engagement environment and experience of project delivery with a range of partners from different sectors, including local authorities.   With proven ability to effectively engage members of the public, excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, you will be pro-active and be able to motivate and enthuse others.  Commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport is essential as is an understanding of the environmental, financial and health benefits of active travel.  Clearance by an Enhanced DBS Disclosure check is mandatory for this role.
