Job description

Young Carers Activities, Engagement and Participation Worker 17.5 hours per week (regular after-school sessions with some evening and occasional weekend working) Salary: £23,493 pro rata plus generous benefits 28 days, pro rata in addition to statutory Bank Holidays

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and skilled person, with exceptional communication skills, who can develop creative ways to reach and help Young Carers speak up and be heard, as well as grow as people. This includes advocating for their rights, influencing local and national strategic decision-making, and increasing their ownership over the delivery of Young Carers’ service provision. Applying your demonstrable experience, you also will organise and develop a range of social and educational activities alongside these Young Carers, events that will enable them to have short-term breaks from their caring roles and the opportunity to develop their lives, aspirations and abilities.
