Head of Membership Development
35 Hours per week (Full Time)
£41,616-£55,557 dependent on experience
Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England. We ensure that people learn how to swim, enjoy the water, and compete in our sports of swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming.
Do you have proven experience of developing highly successfully consumer membership programmes? Do you want a new career challenge that will make a positive difference to the nation?
We are seeking a commercially astute individual to develop a sector leading membership programme that engages swimming’s huge participation base. We already have 190,000 members in our clubs but with 14 million people swimming and 1.2 million children on Swim England’s renowned Learn to Swim programme, we are determined to grow this number significantly.
Increasing our membership will enable us to engage with this huge participation base and is a central component in achieving our vision of “a nation swimming”. As an organisation which has recently achieved charitable status, income received from our ambitious plans will enable us to expand our programmes and ensure that every child learns to swim, every community has access to water and every medal achieved inspires the nation.
Whilst we have developed early thinking on our approach to a new membership strategy, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us at the start of this journey and make a mark on the organisation and the aquatic sports.
If you feel you have the suitable skills and attributes for this position we would like to hear from you.
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We are committed to inclusion and we embrace the spirit of all equalities legislation. Where possible we will always make reasonable adjustments for accessibility to anyone who requires it. We also pride ourselves on being a flexible employer.
Please be advised that we cannot offer visa sponsorship and that you must have right to work status to apply or be considered for this role. If you are a non UK/EU National, you must have an appropriate working Visa to undertake employment.
