About the role
Switchback is an award-winning small charity enabling young Londoners to build stable, rewarding lives after their release from prison. We are looking for a fantastic Trusts & Foundations Manager to join our small but mighty fundraising team. This is a new and exciting position that will be an integral part of Switchback’s future growth and sustainability for the young men we support.
Switchback has a brilliant track record of successfully raising more funds every year (rising from £400k in 2017 to over £750k last year). For the first time in 2022, our income target will rise to over £1m, and will continue to rise over the coming years. As the majority of our income is raised through Trusts and Foundations, we are looking for an amazing Trusts & Foundations Manager to lead and build on this integral income stream, and enable Switchback to expand our impact even further.
Working with the Head of Fundraising and Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of Switchback’s Trusts and Foundation strategy. You’ll develop and write exciting and persuasive funding proposals, build new donor relationships and broaden the support from our existing and loyal donors, securing significant donations and strong partnerships. At Switchback we pride ourselves on ensuring that our wonderful donors receive authentic, quality and detailed communications so that they not only continue to feel invested in our work, but most importantly, feel loved and appreciated!
We are seeking someone with a strong track record of securing significant sums from Trusts and Foundations who would like to work in a small team that punches above its weight, helping Switchback to grow its impact even further. You’ll be an outgoing individual, who is highly organised with excellent attention to detail, drive, enthusiasm and a determination to deliver against targets.
You must love building and nurturing relationships at different levels and enjoy providing our donors with quality updates so that they always feel closely connected to our work. You will have passion for telling the stories of the young people we support and be excited to represent Switchback and our Trainees.
