Job description

The Taunton Heritage Trust is an ambitious almshouse and grant giving charity currently providing 66 sheltered flats in Taunton to the over 60’s.  We are one of the largest almshouse charities in the country and the exciting role of PROPERTIES MANAGER is responsible for all matters relating to the maintenance, refurbishment and development of the Trust’s residential properties and grounds.  The role also includes working with the Trust’s professional advisers to ensure the correct management of the Trust’s commercial properties.  We are looking for a dynamic person with sound knowledge of the building industry as well as excellent oral, written and IT communication skills.  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of current fire and health & safety legislation and have the ability to budget for and oversee building works.  The Trust is committed to promoting equality and diversity within the workplace and this applies to all aspects of our work.  We are looking for a team player with a “can do” attitude and someone who shares the ethos of our Charity.
