Job description

Can you help us build our partnership networks to help people in poverty?

Sister charities, TaxAid (London) and Tax Help for Older People (Bridport, Dorset), are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to build the charities’ networks and drive referrals to our services. The role is funded for three years with the possibility of it becoming permanent.

You will have a strong background in partnership development and a good understanding of the networks and contacts operating within the UK social charity sector. You will enjoy reaching out to organisations to work in partnership, energising your own and new networks. You will be alive to commercial opportunities and keen to develop partnership funding bids with the new relationships you have developed. You will be a creative thinker willing to think innovatively. You may be in a business development role in a services charity or be responsible for B2B marketing to charities or other civil society organisations. You may have experience of selling services to local authorities or other service commissioners.

You will be particularly interested in developing services for the most excluded and vulnerable communities who are often digitally excluded and unable to access services online and through social media. You may have an understanding of working with Trade Unions representing vulnerable gig-economy workers.
You will care about helping people in poverty. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and well-networked non-profit professional to make a real difference to vulnerable people’s lives. There is real scope to shape a national network of referral partners and directly input into partner strategy.

The role will be based at home with an expectation of some travel to the TaxAid and Tax Help offices or it can be based at either office.

The Community Engagement Manager will report to the Director of Fundraising and work closely with the new role of Communications Officer as we shape our Partnership Marketing and Communications strategy together.
Closing date for applications: June 28 2021. We will be considering and interviewing applicants on an ongoing basis and may recruit before then. Please apply as soon as you can.
