The link between low income and low academic attainment is greater in the UK than almost any other developed nation. Children eligible for free school meals are less likely to get good GCSEs and go on to higher education. This makes it more likely they will struggle throughout their lives, widening social inequality. It’s a cycle that we’re determined to break.
The Prospect Research & Insight Officer will create a best-in-class research & insights function, playing a vital role in enabling the fundraising department’s future growth. The largest proportion of the role is dedicated to Prospect Research: Creating and delivering bespoke and proactive research plans to support all four fundraising teams (Corporate, Philanthropy, Trusts, and Events) within the Fundraising Department.
The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of relevant research tools, fundraising and charity market publications and data sources to inform all aspects of income strategy development and delivery. You have an awareness of the educational, social and charity landscape within which Teach First operates; with an ability to proficiently use contextual information to input into decision making. You have proven experience using a CRM/Fundraising Database to capture data and to inform insight reporting. You can deliver excellent written and verbal reports and advice to a range of internal stakeholders on a range of research and insights topics.
