Job description

Role Summary:

1. To be responsible for the set-up, ongoing development and maintenance of online systems and processes to support the delivery of new, system-leading training programmes for school leadership.

2. To optimise internal processes by ensuring online systems are effectively integrated.

3. To drive automation of processes and ensure that data insights are accurately and effectively captured and shared to improve programme performance


The Teacher Development Trust (TDT) is an established and fast-growing charity based in London that is dedicated to improving the educational outcomes for children by raising the quality of teachers’ professional development. 


To meet the needs of our new suite of school leadership programmes and to support our existing membership we are seeking an Online System Manager to play a vital role in progressing our online systems.


This is an exciting opportunity in a fast-growing and influential education charity. We're looking for a proactive, confident communicator to join our team in supporting our existing services and programmes. We have an excellent track record of staff developing within the charity, as well as staff who have developed their careers into schools, other charities, and the public sector. 


Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development, maintenance and integration of online systems, including Learning Management System (LMS), Content Management Systems (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software

  • Ensure the integrity of the systems, including data, to support high quality delivery of programmes

  • Ensure comprehensive, up-to-date, and accurate documentation of overall data architecture, data flows, and integration of systems

  • Support programme design and delivery teams by providing ongoing feedback on engagement levels to maximise the impact of digital learning

  • Evaluate, test and modify systems to ensure reliable operation

  • Ensuring that systems are hosted and maintained in a way that is resilient, secure and reliable

  • Ensuring compliance with data security and GDPR

  • Developing and sourcing new digital solutions, or working with developers, to improve functionality and efficiency of systems and processes

  • Drive consistency in system use and data security


Required skills

  • Proficient in Customer Relationships Management system usage (ideally Salesforce)

  • Experience managing and maintaining  multiple online systems simultaneously

  • Proficient in LMS functionality and maintenance

  • Able to identify, analyse and resolve issues with online systems and integrations to improve processes and increase impact of digital learning in a timely manner

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

  • Excellent attention to detail and proven experience leading the development of online systems through to programme delivery within set timeframes and budgets

  • Knowledge of GDPR and how it relates to the storage, retention and use of personal data

  • Experience working with Thinkific Platform

  • Experience with Salesforce administration, customisation

  • Experience in supporting the creation of digital learning

  • Experience in training others in effective use of online systems

  • Understanding of schools and the wider education sector
