The team
Our team in Energy Saving Trust manages the national Home Energy Scotland service on behalf of the Scottish Government. Joining our team means joining an award-winning advice service that supports hundreds of thousands of households across Scotland every year to make their homes warmer, more affordable, and sustainable.
The climate emergency and the current fuel price crisis means the work of Home Energy Scotland has never been more important. Our team is making a real difference to people’s lives, and we are also growing rapidly. We need to recruit more skilled and dedicated people to join our team now.
Our team collaborate widely with colleagues in Energy Saving Trust, staff across the Home Energy Scotland network and many other partners across Scotland. You will be working with people and organisations to help tackle fuel poverty and the climate emergency, both directly, and through a network of regional advice centres covering all of Scotland.
The role
The role will lead the development, design and management of training programmes for Home Energy Scotland (HES) advisors, including our advisor induction programme which is certified by the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA).
What you’ll do
Working with the HES content and training developer, customer experience team and knowledge team, you will continuously improve advisor training methods and materials.
You will develop and oversee processes to maintain and improve the skills and knowledge for HES advisors. As well as this, you will integrate accessibility and inclusivity into all training and induction programmes to ensure that diverse learning needs are supported.

The Module sits within the Master of Research (MRes) in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology (DNP), a two-year Masters programme, which is a collaboration between Anna Freud, University College London and The Child Study Centre at Yale University in the USA. The MRes brings together thinking from multiple perspectives, with a particular focus in the role of neuroscience in understanding child psychopathology. Students spend their first year in London (based at Anna Freud) and their second year at Yale, where they undertake a substantial research project. The student cohort is small (generally 14 students per year) and carefully selected. This post provides a forum for the successful candidate to develop skills and experience in teaching and delivery of an innovative and well-established MRes programme. Working within a dynamic and friendly team, including the Programme Officer, Programme Director and Deputy Directors as well as the wider group of teaching staff, the post-holder will be required to undertake the main tasks of delivering a module on Multiple Perspectives run across all three teaching terms.

We are a small but mighty nonprofit organisation which delivers impactful change and support to migrant women’s lives in Thanet.
This role will be focused on finance, governance and operations and will be a job share with the CEO for practice, development, and partnerships, who is already in post and has been overseeing this function. You will also be responsible for the line management of the Operations Manager and volunteers.
It is a crucial time for Beyond the Page and we have big ambitions for this year, including charity registration, maximising our income generation, developing, and implementing our strategy and continuing to provide high quality and impactful ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages), wellbeing and creative activities in the community to women born outside of the UK.
We are looking for a leader to help us take our next steps.
You will need to have an excellent attention to detail, previous management experience and budget oversight, knowledge of current legislation and be able to share a leadership role effectively. You will also be responsible for taking us through the charity registration process and all associated duties thereafter. About the role
The Crisis Financing Training & Capacity Development Advisor will be responsible for developing and expanding an innovative package of trainings and learning for the Start Network.
You will play a crucial role in the ongoing capacity development of Start Network organisation, by disseminating and institutionalising new developments in learning, knowledge and terminology
related to Start Network crisis financing programming throughout the staff team.
You will continue to develop new and strengthen existing training packages that are of high quality and will ensure that Start Network's New Financing programming is mainstreamed throughout the sector in a sustainable manner.
You will be responsible for assisting in delivering trainings to member agency colleagues, Start Network Hubs as well as training the Start Network team. You will coordinate a group of ‘trainers' who can offer high quality capacity development opportunities. You will also ensure that monitoring, evaluation and accountability is built into capacity development to measure outputs and outcomes more systematically.
In this role, you will:
- Leverage technical expertise from Start team members, technical partners and the anticipation and risk financing building blocks framework to design modularised training and learning materials to meet the capacity development needs of the Start Network, including e-learning.
- Identify and develop a training of trainers (TOT) programme and build up a group of trainers within the Start team and across the Start Network membership.
- Strengthen the training and facilitation skills of Start Network team
- Develop a learning pathway with the technical leads to ensure different stakeholders can access the training necessary for their role
- Investigate and utilise cutting edge and interactive learning and training approaches, building partnerships and relationships with providers of such services.
- Review and develop adaptable learning materials with multi language application requirements and cultural contexts as needed.
- Work with academic partners to see how higher levels of training and learning could achieve levels of accreditation for member participants.
- Lead on coordinating and monitoring capacity development with the above-mentioned cadre of trainers from the Start team and across the Start Network membership, supporting the cadre to deliver high quality trainings as well as delivering in-person trainings directly and ensuring that materials and approaches are adapted to context.
- Build in monitoring, evaluation and accountability systems. Feed learning back into the development of training, and into the wider Start Financing programme delivery.
- Work with Start Programmes team (i.e. CARF and Start Funds) to understand their work and the subject areas to develop the training package.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Experienced as a confident and engaging trainer, facilitator and communicator with excellent networking and relationship-building skills and with proven ability to cater to diverse stakeholders i.e. grassroot, regional and international organisations.
- Sound knowledge of humanitarian financing.
- Proven experience in developing training and learning packages on technical subjects.
- Knowledge and experience of undertaking learning needs analysis and designing high quality blended
learning solutions. - Proven ability to provide engaging, effective, and operationally applicable training in person and remotely.
- Knowledge of building and designing e- learning modules and digital packages on Moodle and/ or Kaya
learning platforms. - Adaptability and flexibility, sensitive to and able to modify approach and materials to meet varied
requirements including ability, language, context, etc. - Ability to adapt materials to be contextually appropriate.
- Experience in partnership development in national and/or international contexts
- Project management skills and experience.
- Understanding of pedagogical principles of adult learning.

The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

The Role
As a Corporate Volunteer Officer, your focus will be to lead on planning and delivering our ‘Park Days’ Corporate Volunteering Scheme, maintaining excellent relationships with corporate partners and delivering sessions to a consistently high standard. This role will help volunteers to carry out important habitat management tasks at regular conservation group sessions and develop one-off flexible volunteering opportunities. This role is varied and will see the successful applicant working across all the Royal Parks.
This role involves a lot of in park time, working with and supporting volunteers on the ground in physical conservation work. On average the Volunteer officer will spend 3-4 days each week in the parks delivering sessions. The ideal applicant will be friendly, open, enjoy spending time outdoors and have experience working with and managing volunteers, in a hands-on conservation or park setting.
You will champion volunteering best practice, high standards of Health and Safety, inclusivity and diversity across the organisation, develop volunteer resources and ensure the appropriate support and training is in place for volunteers, partners and the staff who manage volunteers.

- Work with the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate other volunteer projects and programmes
- Work with the Fundraising Officer and Head of Fundraising to prepare proposals for existing and new corporate partners, we well as reviewing feedback to ensure sessions meet partners’ expectations.

About You

The Master of Research (MRes) in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology (DNP) is a two-year Master’s programme, which is a collaboration between Anna Freud, University College London and The Child Study Centre at Yale University in the USA. The MRes brings together thinking from multiple perspectives, with a particular focus in the role of neuroscience in understanding child psychopathology.
This post provides a forum for the successful candidate to develop skills and experience in teaching and delivery of an innovative and well-established MRes programme. The post-holder will be required to undertake several tasks to support the programme including i. delivery of one module in each term (Terms 1, 2 and 3) related to affective and developmental neuroscience; ii. support with marking and assessment of coursework and theses; iii. Support with student pastoral care.
The post-holder will need to have a relevant PhD and/or child clinical qualification at Master’s level or above e.g. Child Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology with child experience. - Engaging with artists and facilitators to deliver work.
- Planning and delivering high-quality arts and education-based workshops and events, noting that this will include the procurement of workshop leaders as appropriate.
- Coordinating production, technical, infrastructure and materials requirements, drawing on the Events Officer roles and freelance technical and production teams where necessary.
- Completing risk assessments and necessary paperwork to ensure compliance.
- Fielding all enquiries regarding the creative learning programme and managing the booking process for any activity.
- Managing a database of participants and ensuring regular communication to retain engagement.
- Ensure the creative learning offer meets all legal and regulatory controls and measures, particularly in relevance to working with young people.
- Act as the Safeguarding Lead
- Identify and execute marketing activity for the creative learning programme, working closely with the Content Team to design and produce required marketing assets.
- Champion creativity, the arts and culture in communities and engage participants within the overarching context of the Programme.
What you'll need to succeed
- A track record of excellence in developing and delivering creative participatory programmes.
- Experience of working with or engaging young people and families in programmes/projects in either an arts, museum, heritage, school or equivalent setting.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the latest initiatives in heritage education.
- Good experience gained in a cultural role, planning and coordinating projects, including compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Experience of successfully managing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, e.g. local authorities, suppliers, artists, facilitators and corporate and community partners.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team and on one's own with minimum supervision, using initiative with accuracy.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose a wide range of documents and correspondence in the organisation and delivery of participation projects. (A)
- Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to discuss details and requirements for projects with a broad range of stakeholders and deliver creative sessions for a broad range of audiences.
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to tight timescales whilst running a variety of tasks simultaneously to meet key objectives in the organisation, administration and delivery of events.
- A flexible, enthusiastic, adaptable and creative approach to work.
- A demonstrable interest in the cultural, creative industries and the heritage sector and a passion for engaging a wide range of people in creative learning opportunities.

*1 Saturday in 4 will be required to be worked; for a regular family event, TOIL - time in lieu offered in return.
