Are you passionate about issues of poverty and justice? Do you have the ability to quickly connect with people and enthuse and motivate them?
Our vision here at Tearfund is to see people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential. We follow Jesus where the need is greatest, responding to crisis and partnering with local churches to bring restoration to those living in poverty.
Our Northern Ireland team (NI) are currently looking for a new Church Partnerships Manager who will lead our engagement with churches in NI. We see our role as making poverty visible to the NI church; compelling congregations and individuals to respond with us to poverty and injustice primarily through giving, and also through prayer and campaigning action.
To achieve that we're looking for a person who has:
- Thorough and up to date knowledge of the broad evangelical church constituency in Northern Ireland
- Confidence in building relationships with NI church leaders
- In-depth experience and understanding of working with leaders of churches of different size, traditions and network
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to craft and deliver compelling calls to action
We are looking for a champion for our work, who will get individuals and churches behind the vision.
Do you have a passion to see the end of extreme poverty? Do your skills, experience and interest match the above? If so, then we'd love to hear from you!
All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs.
