Teenage Cancer Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Research and Evidence to join the Services team.
Working with senior leaders in the charity, this role will lead on developing and delivering a research and evidence strategy to support the organisation’s strategic aims to improve the experience, survival and recovery of young people with cancer. The research strategy will define the strategic questions that need answering and identify gaps in evidence and insight. The role will ensure that these gaps are filled, and questions are answered with a coherent programme of research, drawing on and synthesising existing research and setting the agenda of externally funded research.
You will have experience of leading the management and delivery of applied research programmes, and of managing and delivering large scale research projects involving multiple stakeholders. Experience of working in the third sector or public sector with a strong understanding of health and social care systems is essential, as is proven ability to provide clear research leadership and direction to external researchers and agencies.
