Job description

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/03/2021

Salary: £30,000 pro rata (3 days per week at £18,000pa) plus London Weighting Allowance if applicable.

About Tempo

Tempo is passionate about the way Time Credits can be used to enable local communities to become strong and resilient. We do this by working in partnership with others engaged in community development, from grassroots organisations to statutory agencies and Time Credits are the glue that hold these partnerships together.

We are just about to embark on an exciting journey and will be launching Digital Time Credits in early 2021. They will replace our current Paper Time Credits (almost 1m issued to date). It will enable us to move from supporting 39 local partnerships (involving over 1,000 organisations) to covering the whole of the UK. We have just started working with the Welsh Government and will be rolling out a Digital Time Credit programme in every part of Wales.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic person who is both a qualified HR professional (level 3+), but also wants a more diverse role which puts them at the heart of the organisation. We have a strong set of HR policies and procedures, but we need to work with our managers to make them more self-reliant. We have a lot going on, so managing our overall approach to project management is a part of the role that will mean you have involvement in all teams of the organisation. In addition to this, you will be managing our governance function and will have regular interaction with the Trustees. While we have an office base in Cardiff, most of our staff work remotely. You will be responsible for making sure office based and home based staff are safe and have a work environment that allows them to thrive.

We are looking for someone who can make things happen and bring people together, while also providing advice to management about HR and governance rules and how they should be applied. Experience of remote working would be an advantage.

The role, which is for 3 days a week, reports to the Chief Executive and is responsible for the post that delivers our ICT services and provides our day to day project management planning.
