Fundraising Development Manager

Oasis Project is recruiting a Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser. As a fundraiser, you will research information, plan and write bid applications in order to contribute to the fundraising activity at Oasis. Communicating key messages and data about Oasis to inspire and engage potential funders and be successful with bid applications will be key. The post-holder will work with the Senior Management Team and other staff and trustees to implement Oasis’ fundraising strategy with the aim of delivering sustainable income.

At an exciting time of growth, they are now recruiting for temporary Telephone Fundraisers to join their team, on an ongoing basis.
As a Telephone Fundraiser, you will represent a range of charities and non-profits over the phone. You will call across supporter acquisition, welcome calls, cross-sell, membership, legacy fundraising campaigns and more. You will be speaking with existing supporters who have previously donated or shown an interest in supporting the charities work, no ‘cold calling’ and will be making a strong fundraising ask on a charity’s behalf.
To be considered for this role, you will have strong background in a sales-based role, interpersonal skills transferable to telephone conversations, a confident and clear speaking voice, and the ability to follow a structure (call guide). You will also be resilient, able to handle objection, empathic and have the ability to perform to a target based working environment.
This is fully remote role, with a choice of working hours between 17.5 – 35 hours per week, shift patterns include afternoon and evenings, 12:00-4:00pm or 4:00- 8:30pm. Please only apply if you are available to start ASAP or have no more than a 1 weeks’ notice period.

You will be joining our talented team at an exciting point as we embark on our new five-year strategy to grow income for St George’s Hospital Charity.
In this role, you and your team will play a crucial role in delivering fundraising growth through developing a portfolio of supporter-led events and community fundraising activities and providing excellent supporter care to existing and future supporters to achieve income goals. You will shape, develop, implement and deliver core events and community activities through the leadership of this function. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Senior Bid Writer to join our Business Development team working on tender opportunities, tracking new and existing business and handling of new contracts for POhWER.
POhWER needs to increase and diversify its income to achieve greater financial sustainability. To do this we need to grow our services to reach new parts of the UK and new areas of work. However we also recognise the importance of retaining our existing contracts. To support this ambition we are looking for someone to support and work with our existing team.
Our Bid Writers coordinate the organisation’s response to all tenders. This includes re-tendering for our existing services as well as responding to tenders for services in new areas, or new services in our existing areas.
The role includes:
· Lead and co-ordinate tender activity ensuring that POhWER wins and retains new and existing services and contracts
· Take ownership of the bid response, style and format and overseeing it through the production process.
· Prepare and write tenders in a persuasive manner that takes full account of customer-specific style and content.
You will have excellent written communication, attention to detail and proof reading skills and a good knowledge of POhWER’s services. You will also have an ability to work to strict deadlines and a confident, flexible and positive attitude.

We are an ambitious Hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising Assistant, initially on a three month contract with potential to extend.
We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). About you
Ideally you will already have experience in an administration or customer service role and looking to start a career in fundraising. You will be looking for 20-37.5 hours a week and can work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at fundraising events.
Main duties of the job
- Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.
- Work to build excellent relationships with donors to provide a high standard of customer care.
- Process one-off and regular donations ensuring procedures are followed and information is recorded correctly onto the database and thank you letters are sent.
- Work with cancer centre volunteers to support the team with administration tasks.
- To undertake specific fundraising projects and attend events as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising.
- To assist the fundraisers with administration of staff lottery, raffles and prize led promotion and fundraising as required.
- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at internal and external events.
- Manage ‘Gift in Kind’ donations and our ‘Gift in Kind’ Campaigns.

The success candidate will have a friendly and engaging personality and enjoy speaking to charity supporters face to face, over the phone and via e-mail.
Reporting directly to the Senior Events Manager you will grow the income generation and brand profile of the charity through effective organisation, administration, supporter engagement and marketing our exciting events portfolio, ensuring maximum participation and income for the hospice. You will utilise your creative skills to proactively seek new income generation opportunities and design new events for our growing calendar. You will be a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a portfolio of designated events with proven success of reaching and exceeding participant and income targets. You should also have knowledge and experience of working with a range of suppliers and volunteers and have a proven ability to build relationships at all levels. Experience of using CRMs is also advantageous.
