We have been operating in the region for over 10 years. By becoming a Trustee with us you will be joining a friendly board. There may also be the opportunity to visit our programmes in Uganda.
Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking for trustees to help us; ensure our charity is carrying out its duties for the public benefit, comply with our governing document and the law, act in our charity’s best interest, ensure our charity is accountable, manage our charity’s resources effectively and act with reasonable care and skill.
Each trustee brings their own skills, experiences and qualities to the Board. We are looking for individuals with the ability to understand and accept the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Trusteeship. We need people with good, independent judgement and strategic vision. We are particularly interested in people with specific skills in fundraising, marketing, human resources and international development but if you feel you have something to offer to TESS, we would love to hear from you too.
Meetings are held every 6 to 8 weeks, alternating between teleconferences and face-to-face meetings. Teleconferences are held via Skype and face-to-face meetings in Midlands/South West.
