The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross.

The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.

The Programme Officer will work within a large, high-profile national project funded by the Department for Education – the National Centre for Family Hubs – as well as across our Early Years Programme. The Programme Officer will be an instrumental role in the Early Years Programme that will involve placing people at the centre of our work; through a focus on stakeholder engagement and participation. This includes co-production with families accessing family hubs, responding to requests for information from statutory and voluntary sector staff, supporting Early Years staff wellbeing and ensuring that we embed stakeholder feedback in all our work.  Through this work, the post-holder will help to ensure that our programme is relevant and effective in meeting the requirements of all of those whom we work with and serve.

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, organised, creative and values-driven individual, adept at developing relationships and multi-tasking.

This role will be home-based/remote working during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; thereafter the Anna Freud Centre, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH and occasional travel will be required predominantly within the London area.
