Fundraising Officer - Growing Disability Charity
Are you a self-motivated Fundraising Officer looking to make your mark with an ambitious charity? Want to support important work that is transforming the lives of children with cerebral palsy? If so, read on.
We’re the Bobath Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy, a charity dedicated to supporting children and families living with cerebral palsy and similar neurological conditions.
Our specialist treatment and training centre offers bespoke support from a team of physio, occupational and speech and language therapists who focus almost exclusively on cerebral palsy.
Sometimes, it’s the simple things that make a difference - playing with friends, dressing or making your own lunch. So, whatever a child's age or associated difficulties, we have the skills and knowledge to help them live their day-to-day life to the fullest.
We’re now looking for a Fundraising Officer to join our team and drive the success of our fundraising activities.
- Salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
- Potential for part time/flexible working
- 35 days’ holiday (including Bank Holidays) and a Christmas shutdown
- Join a unified, highly-skilled team who are all working towards a shared goal
This is a brilliant opportunity to join our charity at an exciting point in our evolution. With a new CEO at the helm, we’re transforming our operations to enable us to work better and support even more children who need our help.
We’re looking to revolutionise our Fundraising function, so you will have the freedom to really make your role your own and help to shape the department as a whole.
What’s more, this role has the potential to progress into a Director of Fundraising position in the future, making this an amazing opportunity to realise your professional goals while helping to change lives.
As a Fundraising Officer, you will implement our fundraising strategy and contribute to our community fundraising, grants and trusts, corporate fundraising and individual giving activities.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Work with the CEO to set realistic fundraising targets
- Co-ordinate and manage the application process for trusts and foundations
- Identify new fundraising events and oversee existing events
- Liaise with colleagues, particularly therapists, to develop and report on funding proposals
- Support research, reporting and evaluation activities
To join us as a Fundraising Officer, you’ll need:
- Experience of working as a fundraiser for a charitable organisation
- Strong bid and report writing abilities
- Budgeting and financial management skills
- To be highly-motivated and driven
We’d like to hear from you if you’ve worked as a Senior Fundraising Officer, Lead Fundraising Officer, Fundraising Executive, Charity Fundraising Officer, or Corporate & Community Fundraising Officer.
Due to the nature of our work with children, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
This is a full time role, but we’re also eager to hear from candidates interested in part time/flexible working opportunities.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 4th June 2019.
