About us

Who we are

We are a rapidly growing charity seeking to accelerate change for those affected by brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer.

Our five-year strategy is ambitious and sets out our plans to double survival from brain tumours and halve the harm they cause to quality of life. We are looking for passionate, smart and pioneering people to join our talented and growing team.

Brain tumours in the UK - The Facts: Almost 11,500 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour every year, of those diagnosed 633 are children and teenagers. Sadly 5,200 of those diagnosed will lose their lives.

The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, making a difference every day to the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families. We fund pioneering research to increase survival and improve treatment options. We raise awareness of the symptoms and effects of brain tumours to get earlier diagnosis and to help families cope with everything that the diagnosis of a brain tumour brings. We provide support for everyone affected so that they can live as full a life as possible, with the best quality of life.  We are committed to having the biggest possible impact for every person affected by a brain tumour.

Our values underpin our culture, the way we do things and what we believe in. We are pioneering, smart, passionate and collaborative.

We are members of the Association of Medical Research Charities, The Information Standard, The Helplines Partnership and the Fundraising Regulators Board.
