Description of Organisation

The Bridge is a charity working with the homeless and hardest to reach in Leicester. We have a number of projects which provide support, advice, guidance, food and clothing to anyone who walks through our doors in need. We are a volunteer-led organisation with a vision to provide everyone in Leicester a place to call home and hope for the future. 

Main Purpose

This is a new role that has come from a greater need for administration support in our team. You will be working in the office with the Mentor Project Coordinator, but also frequently liaising with other team members and volunteers. Your hours will be flexible depending on the teams needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively work to ensure that all of The Bridge’s administration tasks are carried out promptly and to high professional standard.
  • Record all team meeting minutes.
  • Manage systems for gathering, recording, analysing and presenting data from a range of projects.
  • Support the Mentor Project Coordinator in the recruitment, training and coordination of all general volunteers.
  • Oversea the weekly coordination of volunteer rotas.
  • Check and coordinate all donations that are provided to The Bridge.
  • Check all kitchen stock on a weekly basis and liaise with kitchen staff to ensure stocks are in date, appropriate and minimum amounts required. Order any stock required.
  • Overview of the HACCP regulations in the kitchen.
  • Represent The Bridge at external meetings where required.
