The Careers & Enterprise Company was established in 2015 to help link schools and colleges to employers, in order to increase employer engagement for young people. Our mission is to prepare and inspire young people for the fast-changing world of work.

This is an exciting time at The Careers & Enterprise Company. During our first three years, we have worked with Local Enterprise Partnerships to build a national network which now links 2,000 schools and colleges to employers. We have also funded 150 programmes to provide high-quality employer engagement activities to young people where they are needed most.

The role is to manage the evaluation activities of The Careers & Enterprise Company including contract management of commissioned evaluations, developing outcome measurement tools and carrying out research and analysis. The role also supports the translation of evidence into practice through tools and resources.

The post is based within the Research & Excellence team which leads on research, evaluation, resources and quality. The role also involves working closely with programme teams across the Company, as well as wider stakeholders and partners, to design and implement effective evaluation strategies that result in resources that drive improvement in careers education.

This role reports into the Head of Research, Emily Tanner, who has extensive experience of research across education and employment and of managing research teams to deliver high quality, mixed methods research and evaluation. The team also includes a senior researcher, evaluation officer, excellence manager, resources lead and research strategy consultant.

The post-holder will in turn line manage the evaluation officer who has a particular focus on measuring the impact of the Enterprise Adviser Network and Careers Hubs.

Closing date: Monday 8th July 2019, and candidates selected for the first interview will be notified by 10th July. First round interviews will be competency based and will be held on 17th July 2019. Second round interviews will involve an exercise and will take place week commencing 22nd July.
