The Centre for Justice Innovation is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who will provide advice and support to court users, their families, victims and witnesses who attend Community Advice based at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court. This is a full-time position on a 12-month contract. The Centre for Justice Innovation seeks to build a justice system which all of its citizens believe is fair and effective. We champion practice innovation and evidence-led policy reform in the UK’s justice systems. We are a registered UK charity.
Community Advice is an advice, information and support service based in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, one of the busiest courts in the United Kingdom. The service provides on-the-spot advice, direct support with practical problems and makes referrals into long-term support for anyone who needs it. You will play a key role in this small team; conducting initial assessments of people’s needs, and providing support on wide-ranging issues, from employment, to housing, debt, addiction, mental health and domestic abuse. The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Monday 4th October. Interviews will be held in-person at the court on Wednesday 20th October and Thursday 21st October 2021.
