Administration & Finance Manager

Permanent contract

22.5 hours per week - working pattern to be agreed

£22,929 per annum pro rata (£14,740 per annum actual for 22.5 hours per week)

Location: The Children's Society Include Service, Wessex Business Park, Wessex Way, Colden Common, Hampshire, SO21 1WP.

If so, this role could be for you - We are looking for an enthusiastic Admin & Finance Manager to support the delivery of our national Young Carers work.

Key elements of this role will be:

-To achieve effective use of resources by engaging in budget planning, monitoring of expenditure, and oversight of all financial aspects of the service including petty cash, invoicing and financial reports to funders.

-To provide suitable systems for office management and health & safety, which establish and maintain a productive, inclusive and safe working environment that support all members to carry out their roles effectively.

-To provide a range of administrative services within the service and, where necessary across the region, including minute taking, event planning and logistics.

This role will be responsible for administrative and financial aspects of the service and will report directly to the Area Manager and National Young Carers Lead to deliver robust oversight of the service finances and ensure a strong interface with The Children's Society's organisational systems.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Strong IT skills and a high standard of numeracy and literacy

-The ability to analyse, report and manage financial information as well as perform day to day financial tasks e.g. Invoicing.

-Experience in the management and delivery of a diverse range of administrative tasks, some event planning experience would be beneficial.

-Strong communication skills with clients, staff and other professionals

-Significant experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications to 'A' Level/ NVQ 3 standard

The Children's Society's Include Service has a twenty year track record of supporting children and young people who care for parents, siblings or others who suffer from chronic illness or disability: young carers. Our continual campaigning and influencing work reaches across the whole of England as we promote best practice and work in partnership with external strategic stakeholders to support young carers and their families and deliver multi-agency, whole family approaches. Our work focuses on the complex and high risk needs identified for young carers who exhibit multiple vulnerabilities and factors of Hidden Harm and those who are particularly hard to reach.
