Business Development Lead


35 hours per week .

£42,840 with annual progression to £47,600 per annum

Location: London

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a successful dynamic Business Development Team as part of our Supporter Impact and Income Directorate. Developing business in order to generate income and achieve greater impact for the benefit of vulnerable young people.Working as part of both the central business development and the area focused teams, to lead on business development, overseeing tender processes, developing key strategic leads and partnerships to helping to shaping our intentions - enabling the sustainability and growth of our practice-base. You will have excellent knowledge of the children's sector an excellent understanding of public sector / commissioning-based markets.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-High-level influencing skills

-Prospecting and bid development

-Managing and developing business development pipeline

The Children's Society runs over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need our support, and we campaign to get laws and policies changed to make children's lives happier and safer.
