HR Co-Ordinator


21 hours per week

£20,912 per annum (FTE) - Actual salary £12,547.20

Location: The Big Peg, Vyse Street, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our HR Business Partnering team, supporting our Children & Young People Directorate.

We are currently looking for an excellent communicator, with great customer service skills, to join our ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to:

-Take responsibility for the day to day administration activities of the HR function, taking on key HR support and assistance tasks which contribute to the effective management of workloads across the team.

-Coordinate and manage recruitment activities for the stakeholder group. Provide comprehensive advice and support to managers and employees on full range of Recruitment initiatives from advertising, pre-employment check to on boarding.

-Be the main point of contact for general HR enquiries from both internal and external customers, referring queries where necessary to the appropriate member of the team.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective relationships

-A professional, confident attitude

-The ability to manage workloads and be flexible during particularly busy periods, including good time management

-Experience of customer facing role, providing an excellent customer experience to a range of stakeholders
