Interim HR policy & ER Advisor
Fixed term contract for 6 months
35 hours per week
£33,484 per annum if Birmingham based, or £36,184 if based in London
Flexible location (Either Birmingham or London)
The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits in the HR Business Partnering team within the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate. Your role will be to facilitate our ambitious agenda to become agile, efficient, and high performing by ensuring that out HR policies and practices are fit for the future and that we capture the organisation's culture whilst adhering to employment law legislation. The post holder will also support, where required, on complex employee relations cases, including absence, investigations, grievances, disciplinary, and appeals.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-Degree level qualification and/or CIPD membership, or working towards
-A commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and for this to be reflected in the policies and practices that are introduced,
-Experience of advising on and developing employment policies
-Up-to-date knowledge or UK employment law and practices
