Major Donor Relationship Manager

Permanent contract

35 hours per week

£37,646 per annum (plus allowances)


Location is Whitecross Studios, 50 Banner Street, London, EC1Y 8ST

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our Engagement and Income directorate, which works to secure strategic funding relationships to ensure our organisation can provide services for children who urgently need support. Your role will be to lead our ambitious strategy in growing our Major Donor fundraising income and relationships.

We are currently looking for a Experienced Major Donor Fundraiser, with a successful track record of securing new major donor income, including individual gifts in excess of £50,000 to join our dynamic, and exceptionally ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to Identify, cultivate, secure income, and steward relationships to deliver maximum long term impact and income through effective personal relationship management with Major Donors.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-To develop and deliver strategies for maximising long term engagement and income from new Major Donors

-To deliver against ambitious financial targets. To manage, monitor and report on income and expenditure budgets for the geographical or thematic area of responsibility, and in line with organisational priorities

-Work with the Head of P&T to develop an overall Major Donor fundraising strategy. Growing specified relationships in line with organisational priorities

-Be the knowledge leader for Major Donor fundraising throughout the High Value directorate and wider organisation - working closely with key internal stakeholders and volunteers
