Job Description

The ClementJames Centre is an award-winning charity that empowers the community to release its potential in one of London's most disadvantaged areas.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to join our team as a part-time Staff Support Worker on a one-year fixed term contract. The post holder will offer one-to-one support and advice to our staff regarding the issues that may arise through working with vulnerable people.

If you work effectively both independently and within staff teams, and have an interest in the charity sector and working with disadvantaged communities we would love to hear from you.

We support nearly 3,000 children, young people and adults each year to release their potential. We have four main programmes:

Adult Learning – Supporting adults to improve their English, Maths and ICT skills. We offer a wide range of Functional skills courses and intensive literacy and numeracy support

Children & Young People’s Education – Helping children and young people to learn, flourish and achieve their potential. We provide academic support, mentoring, intensive literacy and numeracy support and aspirational activities

Employment Support – Helping people to gain meaningful and sustainable employment. We offer tailored advice and support, mentoring and work skills activities.

Wellbeing & Support – Empowering people to overcome barriers and challenges and to engage with their own wellbeing. We do this through the provision of Information, Advice and Guidance, and wellbeing support and activities

To apply, please send your CV and letter of application to us by noon on Monday 18 June 2018.
