Central London, like many cities across the world, is an exciting and stimulating place. However, for some, it is a place to go when things have gone profoundly wrong and there is nowhere else. When people are on the edge, homeless, isolated and in despair there must be a place to turn. The Connection is there to be with people as they overcome that isolation, recover and move on to a meaningful, fulfilling life.

The experiences of people on the edge matter. Their story must be told to those in a position of power and influence, so that homelessness, exclusion and isolation are not acceptable features of life in the UK.

The Connection at St. Martin’s empowers those who are on the edges of society to take control of their lives by:

About the role:

The HR Coordinator is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and exciting small HR team. You will be responsible for organising the charity’s staff recruitment and induction process, be the first point of contact in for all internal and external stakeholders including potential candidates and suppliers and support excellent communications and team work across the organisation.

About you:

This role requires someone who is extremely well organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle a varied workload. The post holder must have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and experience of working in a busy HR department. IT skills are particularly relevant in this role as you will also be responsible for managing all HR files online and managing our HR (PeopleHR) & training databases online.

You may have a background in a small HR team or experience of working in a charity environment. Specific experience of working in a homelessness charity is not essential. We are principally looking for a candidate who has experience of working in a busy HR department.
