Every year the DofE inspires hundreds of thousands of 14 to 24-year olds from all walks of life to transform their lives.

 

By providing a framework through which young people can develop skills, get physically active, give service to others and experience adventure and independence, the DofE can play a critical role in their personal development outside the classroom.

 

DofE is the world’s leading personal development programme for young people. Part of a vibrant international organisation, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Association, DofE in the UK supports young people to set their own goals, record their own progress and have their achievements recognised. This gives them a unique, internationally recognised, award that is valued by employers and education institutions the world over.

 

We are looking for a new Challenge Events Executive to join our Fundraising Team in London.

 

The DofE’s Event Team complements existing income mechanisms by delivering a varied programme of events including golf days, challenge events, exclusive dinners, gala balls and business breakfasts.

 

As Challenge Events Executive you will work with the Head of Fundraising Events to raise funds by recruiting, inspiring and developing support for the charity through sports and challenge fundraising events.

 

The portfolio of activities will include: third party events and challenges like Royal Parks Half Marathon, skydives and our own mass participation events: DofE Adventure and DofE Challenge.

 

The role will also play a substantial part in increasing supporter engagement, in close collaboration with colleagues.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo either a Basic or Enhanced DBS check.
