The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation's mission is to promote The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (known as the DofE in the UK), provide young people with the Award, and preserve the quality of the Award worldwide. Since 1956, millions of young people have taken part in the Award in more than 130 countries and territories.
The Finance Department is responsible for providing strategic and operational financial support, direction and control for the Foundation and its staff. It is headed by the Head of Finance and supported by the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Administrator.
The Finance team is responsible for financial reporting including supporting the wider organisation in providing financial management information, ensuring the charity complies with statutory filings and safeguarding the charity’s assets. The Management Accountant is responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts and providing support to budget holders. The management accountant is responsible for supporting the fundraising team in particular providing financial analysis, risk profiling and prospect tracking.
This role entails a mixture of answering queries from people delivering the Award and maintaining up to date details for the licenses we’ve issued to our delivery partners.
