ECCR is passionate about creating this reality – to help people join the dots between their faith and their finances, encouraging action to bring about positive change.
ECCR is seeking several Trustees to join our team. These are voluntary roles which help to determine and oversee the strategy and development of the organisation, working closely with the existing Trustees and staff team.
ECCR was established in 1989, to empower churches, faith groups, organisations and individuals to bring about positive change to individual and corporate behaviour. For many years we’ve done this by providing research and materials for advocacy and campaigning on particular issues. In January 2020, we launched our exciting new programme, Money Makes Change – a set of resources to help individual Christians and churches explore and make ethical choices around money.
We are looking for individuals excited by this vision who can bring their experience and energy to our Board.
Expertise and a background in either ethical investment, finance, marketing or communications would be beneficial. However, we are open to applications from anybody who feels they have something to contribute to the organisation. Successful candidates will have the ability to act with independence of mind, and have personal qualities that can bring added value to the Board.
We are committed to improving the diversity of our Board and welcome applications from all backgrounds. As the charity is a Christian organisation, trustee roles are covered by an Occupational Requirement (OR) under the Equality Act 2010 and applicants will be expected to be a practising Christian.
The Board meets at least four time a year, usually in central London, with most meetings taking approximately 4 hours. The Board usually meets in March, June, September and December. If you choose to join one of our sub-committees, this can involve a further 4 additional meetings (some via conference call) per year.
The positions are not remunerated, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
