At The Forever Friends Appeal, we believe we can make a difference to every patient and every condition at the Royal United Hospitals Bath. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, as we celebrate our 20th Year of Fundraising (since 1999 over £23 million has been raised), continue to work on our major campaigns for the Dyson Cancer Centre and RNHRD & Therapies Centre, Special Appeals and all wards and departments as well as develop ambitious plans for the future.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and committed fundraiser to bring something special to this unique role. You’ll have experience of fundraising within the community and be able to demonstrate how you’ve developed relationships to achieve results. We are looking for someone who will be able to hit the ground running, who thrives on a challenge and is passionate about their work and making a difference.
As a Community Fundraiser the key to success will be your strong relationship building skills, ability to create and spot opportunities, deliver presentations (and use other communication methods) to inspire people to go the extra mile for their local hospital and provide exceptional supporter care to maximise sustainable long term income. Working as part of the Events & Community Team, you will work on community fundraising initiatives and play an integral role building and championing, new and existing relationships within the communities of Bath and the surrounding towns and villages in North East Somerset and Western Wiltshire, that make up the RUH’s catchment area. You will work closely with a diverse range of community groups and educational organisations, volunteers, committees and the general public, as well as work collaboratively with the rest of the fundraising team.
