ER Specialist - £43,308 - £52,930 per annum - Vauxhall, London - Full Time, Permanent

The Role - ER Specialist:

Based at our Head Office in London, with frequent travelling to remote sites/projects (including prisons), this Employee Relations role involves providing a combination of operational and strategic specialist employment relations advice to the organisation. Duties include:

* Reporting to the Director of Human Resources to provide advice and support to HR Business Partners in the management of formal employee relations cases in their areas of responsibility
* Taking on all appeals from formal processes, including sickness absence management procedures, to investigations, formal hearings and associated documentation
* Leading all complex cases such as those involving discrimination or whistleblowing
* Meeting with HRBPs on a weekly basis to review, discuss and monitor case work activity
* Managing any Employment Tribunal claims
* Communicating sensitive information clearly and with tact, identifying a range of alternative analytical approaches and applying them innovatively
* Consulting others and sharing expertise, know-how and ideas with colleagues for best results

Person Specification - ER Specialist:

* A proven Employee Relations Specialist with a clear track record of in-depth experience of ER investigations and case management
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a business or HR related subject
* A certificate in Employment Law
* Substantial knowledge of current employment legislation
* Experience handling Tribunal cases
* Experience of working within the voluntary sector
* Implementation of 'good practice' HR policies, processes, and procedures
* A sound working knowledge of HR Information Systems
* Excellent written and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail
* Experience of working closely within an HR team
