The Operations Volunteering Officer helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by coordinating our volunteers working in operational service delivery. This role will ensure all our dogs and customers receive the care and support required from our operational volunteer roles - without whom none of our services would be possible. The position is based out of the Bristol office, with travel required across the whole Southwest region, occasionally including Wales.
This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year.

To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;
· Previous experience of working with and co-ordinating volunteers.
· Experience of working with people in a customer-service related field.
· Competent computer skills, word, excel, outlook.
· Competent in using database
· Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully both verbally and in writing.
· Proven ability to plan and organises own workload
· Proven experience of effective problem solving, including making difficult judgements and decisions in sensitive situations.
· Previous recruitment experience of volunteers
· Experience of coordinating/delivering training programmes.
· Knowledge of safeguarding practices including safer recruitment.
