POLICY FELLOW

  • £44,967 per annum plus benefits
  • Permanent contract
  • Full time (37.5 hours per week)

The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to better health and health care for people in the UK. Our policy team focuses on analysing national health and social care policy. We have an exciting opportunity for a new policy fellow to join our team.

The policy fellow will be a core part of the policy team, but will also provide dedicated research, analysis, and other support directly to the Health Foundation’s chief executive. This is a new role with an opportunity to make a significant impact to the Foundation’s work.

The policy fellow will focus particularly on fast-moving reactive work and tracking relevant political and policy developments. Examples include responding to new NHS priorities and initiatives, or analysing major political events that impact on health and care. The policy fellow will also contribute to longer term research and analysis, as well as scoping ideas for commissioned research. The role will involve collaboration with various senior colleagues.

You will need to have a track record of analysing health policy, writing clearly, and using research and analysis to inform policy decisions. You will also need to understand and value the mix of methods and approaches needed to analyse and influence health and care policy.

You will be committed to our core behaviours: Diversity and Inclusion, Working Together, Discovering and Learning and Achieving Impact.
