Job description

The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.

Do you want to be part of a new collaborative initiative looking to experiment with creative ways of communicating about social issues with the public, politicians and policy makers? Do you want to use your career to make a difference, and reduce inequality?

The Collaboration for Wellbeing and Health is a new initiative funded by the Health Foundation, aiming to develop a bold, cross sector movement calling for action on the wider determinants of health. Its vision is a society where everyone has the building blocks for good health, wherever they are born, work and live.

A collaborative initiative that has been co-developed by a set of founding members, the Collaboration for Wellbeing and Health seeks to develop a clear campaigning voice and powerful communications to reach audiences across the public, private and third sector. It will call on policy makers, sector leaders and the public to recognise the nation’s health as an asset to society and invest in policies known to create the conditions for healthy lives.

The programme and operations administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the programme team in the delivery of its activities. As a small start-up style team building a new initiative, the post holder will need to be flexible to cover the range of support required, including:

  • Providing high quality and efficient administrative support to all workstreams and executive assistant support to the Head of the initiative.
  • Supporting programme delivery, including the maintenance of project plans and budget, the improvement of systems and processes and supporting the commissioning of external agencies and suppliers.
  • Supporting the team in managing internal and external stakeholders and external events.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with administration and programme support expertise who is looking for a varied role that will help the Collaboration for Wellbeing and Health to deliver against its aims and ambitions.
