Job description

Research Manager - Research and Economic Analysis for the Long term (REAL) Centre and Policy)

We are an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.

Producing high quality, independent research and analysis on key issues of health and social care is central to the work of the Health Foundation. Our research team is responsible for managing an ambitious portfolio of externally awarded and commissioned research and evaluation work to build the evidence base to support our strategic priorities.

The Research Manager will work with our in-house analysis team to support the design and development of The REAL Centre, and its network, to improve the quality of strategic decisions about the health and care system. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with the Policy Team to ensure the analysis that it delivers is supported by a robust evidence base through the design and development of external commissions around key topics such as primary care networks and multimorbidities.

With a suitable level of educational attainment, the successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a range of complex stakeholder relationships. You will have demonstrable experience of programme management with a track record of successfully delivering multiple strands of work at any one time. Experienced in disseminating findings to policy and practice audiences and with knowledge of research theory and methods in practice you will also have an understanding of the current issues facing the health care and social care system in the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced researcher with a passion for improving health outcomes and who can commit to our core behaviours - Working Together, Discovering & Learning and Achieving Impact.
