Job description


The Hospice of St Francis is currently seeking a Legacy Fundraiser. Reporting to the Joint Fundraising Director - Trusts and Legacies, you will develop and deliver a legacy marketing and stewardship programme to secure new legacy pledges and administer the legacy case load.

 About you:

You will ideally have proven Legacy Fundraising experience in legacy administration and/or legacy marketing. You will be well organised, possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both as part of a team and under your own initiative to inspire more people to support us.

Specifically you will:

  • Bring creativity, ambition and detailed attention to understanding the motivation of legacy pledgers
  • Provide high quality bespoke stewardship to legacy supporters
  • Provide technical and specialist advice on areas of legacy giving to internal and external audiences and liaise with legators, solicitors, executors and co-beneficiaries in order to maximise income to the Hospice from bequests.   
  • Manage a programme of legacy marketing including the organisation of key campaigns such as Make a Will Month and digital and print communications as agreed with your manager.
