The Leprosy Mission England & Wales
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Permanent, Full-time
Job description
Partnerships Advisor
35 hours
Circa £28,000 per annum

As a member of the Fundraising Team, you will be working with fun, lively and often noisy people who celebrate achievements and laugh through adversity! Alongside a demanding workload, we enjoy fun team days, lunches out and supporting one another. We’re part of something amazing, changing people’s lives, and there is nothing more rewarding than that!

We’re looking for a relational person to nurture a group of donors; meeting their needs as supporters to increase financial support for our work. It’s a fast-paced role which demands high attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills. Telling the stories of the communities we support is vital to this role, so you’ll have an external mentor who will hone your superb writing skills to fundraising perfection and guide you through training.

The Leprosy Mission England and Wales (TLMEW) is a leading international Christian development organisation with over 140 years’ experience and is part of the TLM worldwide family. TLMEW serves the poorest of the poor in 10 countries across Africa and Asia, raising funds to provide life-changing healthcare, education, training, housing, clean water and job opportunities for people who have only ever known suffering and rejection. TLMEW has a zero tolerance approach to any harm to, or exploitation of, our beneficiaries, staff and communities we come into contact with. Recruitment to roles within TLMEW includes, in particular, criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. Safeguarding is our top priority in everything we do.

TLMEW is an explicitly Christian charity, and part of your role will be to represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences and undertake biblical research to locate appropriate scripture for use in TLMEW written material. There is an occupational requirement for the Partnerships Advisor to be a practising Christian.

If this sounds like you, please select the apply button shown to be taken to our website, where you will be asked to complete an application form and diversity form and upload your CV and a covering letter outlining how your previous experience, knowledge and skills equip you to meet the requirements of this post.
