The London Library is an internationally important centre of creativity with an outstanding collection of books and resources. We are a registered charity dedicated to the advancement of education, learning and knowledge and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic events administrator to help raise our profile and widen our reach by helping to deliver a range of exciting programme of events and outreach activities.

Working with our Head of Programmes you will support the delivery of a variety of programmes designed to provide audiences and programme participants with opportunities to engage with The Library, its collection, history and brand. You will get involved with all aspects of planning and organisation for a range of internal and external activities as well as handle queries and research, identify and develop relevant audiences. You will collaborate with marketing colleagues to promote programmes too. You will also take on a hands-on role coordinating activities on the day, ensuring they are well resourced and run smoothly.

You must have experience of events administration and delivering public events as well as an interest in the arts. Highly numerate, you will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills too. With an eye for detail, you will be good at managing multiple projects, overcoming problems and prioritising your workload.  Critically, you will have a passion for your work and the work of The London Library. Knowledge of A/V equipment would be an advantage.
