This post involves operating as a Helpline Advisor giving advice and support to callers via telephone, chat and email and analysing and reporting on data generated by the helpline and being involved in the development of the overall service.
In the role of Helpline Advisor you will be the first port of call to people who want to gain support and advice to deal with concerns relating to child sexual abuse. This can involve supporting them through the emotional impact of their personal and family circumstances; advising them of resources available that relate to their circumstances; but also guiding them through steps to help their situation so that they can move forward positively. There are a number of follow on services offered by the Foundation. The helpline is the first point of call for these.
Data analysis is an important part of the helpline, to be able to report on the volumes and variety of calls will be a key aspecct of this role. It is vital that we are able to report this information internally and to other organisations to be able to promote our services and secure funding.
There will be other opportunities within the role to be involved in the development of the helpline.
This is a highly rewarding role within a friendly and hardworking team which is committed to keeping children safe from sexual harm.
The helpline is open 9am-9pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-5pm Fridays. It will be a full time position; the ideal candidate will have some flexibility within these hours..
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
